Bio
Meet Chris, a versatile singer, songwriter, and producer whose lifelong love affair with music has been the driving force behind his journey. His musical odyssey began in the company of his twin brother, soaking in tunes from the radio and live performances at their parents' cabaret, a vibrant backdrop of musical inspiration six days a week.
In the vibrant 80s, Chris took a pivotal step towards his passion, relocating to Toronto and graduating from Trebas Institute of Recording Technology. Specializing in recording engineering, he honed his skills as a tape operator, engineer, producer, and tape duplication mastering engineer at Cinram. Chris left his mark on projects by renowned recording label artists like U2, Blue Rodeo, and Dire Straits. Simultaneously, he flexed his creative muscles as a radio producer, crafting engaging promos, jingles, and liners for Rogers Broadcasting (CFTR/CHFI). His time in Toronto also saw him actively participating in various bands and forming a dynamic duo with his brother.
Chris's journey into music composition began in his teens, guided by the inspirational Mrs. Milota, his piano teacher. In the 90s, a return to his roots in Saint John, New Brunswick, coincided with involvement in the family restaurant business. Amid culinary pursuits, he kept the flame of songwriting alive, contributing his talents on piano and drums to a local band.
With the onset of the pandemic, Chris seized the opportunity to fully immerse himself in his lifelong dream. A resurgence of his musical passion took hold, and he now dedicates all his spare time to his studio, crafting, recording, and producing new songs that resonate with the spirit of our times.
As a lyricist, Chris eloquently captures the essence of life's journey in his poignant words:
“Doesn’t matter where you come from, doesn’t matter where you’ve been,
It’s a brand-new day to get on, this road of life again”
(From "This Road Of Life")
